TOUR “IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF SHIVAAY”
7 days / 6 nights 

Day 1 : SOFIA

Arrival in Sofia. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: SOFIA (B,D)

Breakfast. City tour of Sofia: walking tour with English – speaking guide (2 hours).
– Central Sofia Market Hall – shooting location
– Ivan Vazov National Theatre – shooting location
– St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral – shooting location
– National Library – shooting location – Sofia University

Free time for lunch at Vitosha Bulevard – the most famous pedestrian and commercial street in Sofia’s city. The boulevard іs abundant іn many posh stores, restaurants and bars.

Continue to the Boyana district on the outskirts of Sofia and explore the medieval Church of Boyana. Built in the 10th and 11th century, the 2-story church was expanded in the 13th-century Second Bulgarian Empire, and again in the 19th century. It owes its fame to the 13th-century frescoes depicting scenes from Bulgarian and biblical history over the years.

Dinner in a typical restaurant with folklore program.

Overnight in Sofia.

Day 3: SOFIA (B,L) – ONE DAY TOUR TO BANSKO AND RILA MONASTERY

Breakfast. Early morning departure to the famous ski resort of Bansko at the foot of the Pirin Mountains for a walking tour of the charming town center. Visit the convent of Hilendar and the typical Bulgarian house of Velyanova, and immerse yourself in the coniferous forests which been shooting set of numerous film productions as Shivaay, Baahubali atc.
Lunch in Bansko city.
After lunch, continue to Rila Monastery – the largest monastery complex in Bulgaria. It takes its name from the hermit, St. Ivan Rilski, and is located in the middle of the fragrant forests of the Rila Mountains. A characteristic example of the Bulgarian Renaissance, the stunning complex reveals the creative skills of Bulgaria, and features Byzantine-style porticoes, gold-plated iconostasis, and outstanding wood carvings.
Overnight in Sofia.

Day 4: SOFIA (B,L) – ONE DAY TOUR TO LUKOVIT

Breakfast. Departure to Lukovit and visit Prohodna cave – Known as the Eyes of God, these holes are located in the middle chamber of the 262-meter-long cave, illuminating the interior and providing a uniquely framed view of the firmament above. Remarkably in size, similar in shape, and eyeish in appearance, these holes are the result of natural erosive forces. These slow and steady forces are still at work, as is often demonstrated by the water running down the cave walls from the “crying” eyes above. In 2016 it was a shooting set of Mr. Ajai Devgn.

Lunch at Lukovit city.
Return in Sofia. Overnight in Sofia.

Day 5: SOFIA (B,L) – ONE DAY TOUR TO PLOVDIV

Breakfast. Departure to Plovdiv. It is the oldest still living city in Europe continuously inhabited since 6000 years BC. In 2014 Plovdiv was selected as the Bulgarian host of the European Capital of Culture 2019.

– The Old town and Houses – shooting location;
– The Hills- shooting location;
– Constantine and Helena Church and Mevlevi Haane;
– Panel flats and Lamartine’s House;
– Ancient Theatre;
– Yellow School and Sasho the Sweetheart;

– Cathedral “Assumption of Mary”.

Lunch in Plovdiv.
Return in Sofia. Overnight in Sofia.

Day 6: SOFIA (B,D)

Breakfast. Shopping tour in Sofia. When abroad everyone wants to buy something new from the country he is visiting. The shopping is a very important task for every journey. That is why we have selected one of the best shopping malls in Sofia.
Dinner at Indian restaurant.
Overnight in Sofia.

Day 7: Departure (B)

Breakfast. Transfer to Sofia Airport according the flight schedule. Have a safe flight back home!
